Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid scored twice, but it wasn't enough to lift the team over the Los Angeles Kings in Game 3 of the 2023 NHL Playoffs.
The Kings emerged victorious in a 3-2 shootout decision, despite McDavid's impressive performance. The Oilers forward recorded his 600th career NHL game in a milestone moment, adding a goal and an assist to his tally.
Derek Ryan also contributed a goal for the Oilers, while Adrian Kempe and Kevin Fiala found the net for the Kings during regulation. The game remained tied after overtime, prompting a shootout.
The Oilers will be looking to bounce back in Game 4 against the Kings on Thursday. McDavid's continued strong play will undoubtedly be a key factor in determining the outcome.
